Maria St. John
Maria Seymour St. John, PhD, MFT is Associate Clinical
Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the
University of California, San Francisco where she serves as Co-Director of
Training of the Infant-Parent Program at Zuckerberg San Francisco General
Hospital. She holds a private practice
in Oakland. Dr. St. John has published
at the intersections of psychoanalysis and queer, feminist, postcolonial and
critical race theory in numerous books and journals. She is endorsed by the CA Center for
Infant/Family and Early Childhood Mental Health as a Reflective Supervisor and
Mentor, and is a developer and national trainer with the Diversity-Informed
Tenets Initiative. Her book Focusing on
Relationships: An Effort That Pays was published by ZEROTOTHREE in 2019.
